Prayer and Meditation

It's beautiful when two stars stand close together in the firmament. So beautiful when two roses burn red into each other. But in truth! It is always most beautiful to look at how two who love each other stand happily together. How the day creeps me, done without you! Nature turns pale, night falls around me. Without you, everything wraps itself in melancholy, and the greenest grove becomes a desolate desert.

When the evening finally comes without you, I run anxiously and look for you downhill, uphill. If I've lost you, I stand there crying, lost in pain, I think I'm slowly fading away. How I tremble in anticipation when your footsteps echo! When I see you, how my blood rushes! If you open your lips, my whole heart beats, touching your hand pulls me skyward.
