Your Wedding – Schadau Castle – Your kiss, who can believe it, who can believe it? Today he is much cuter!
Meditation and Wedding Prayer
It's a year today, it's a year today that you became my bride! It's a year today that your first kiss on the lips thawed me. O how sweetly intoxicating was your kiss then: however - who can believe it, who can believe it? Today he is much cuter. As if caught by the wind the butterfly, we see the time flee'n. Life is visibly fading away, visibly withering away.
May it fade in God's name! Verily, it scarcely saddens me. What falls from my tree of life is not lost. What dies from my life, quickly rises as love. Because it grows to the same extent as my life passes!
Your Wedding at Schadau Castle
A castle is built out of white clouds. Reflecting lakes, blissful meadows, singing fountains of deepest emerald! In its shimmering halls dwell the old gods. Still, in the evening, when the sun sinks crimson, its gardens glow, my heart trembles before their wonders, and for a long time . . . i stand yearning!
Then night comes, the air dies out, the sea glitters like trembling silver, and a scent like roses wafts over the whole world. Gone is the dark night, the lark sings, the day awakens, the sun comes up in splendor in the sky. She shines in the king's stateroom, she shines through the beggar's roof, and what was hidden in the night. She makes this known and evident.
Praise and thanks be to the Lord who watches over this house. With his holy hosts Us graciously wanted to preserve. probably some closed their eyes heavily, they no longer open to the light. So rejoice whoever, revitalized, raises his fresh gaze to the sun!
