Wedding Celebrant – Giardino Verde – Lean your head gently on my shoulder in silence, I’ll play you an old song!
Meditation and Wedding Prayer
If you gently lean your head on my shoulder in silence, I'll play you an old song on the old violin. And the soul, gently touched by the sweet sound. Flies to the bright afterglow on the wings of hope. And in the eyes of you and me the silent question shines. Do love and bliss remain with us every day? When the roses have faded, when the strings cracked. Will heaven then shine on our head? You are still silently listening to my song, whether I have already ended.
Your gaze is turned into the expanse of dreamshell. The day is empty, it's coming to an end, gone, hot, pitiless light! Come, sweet comforter, night, and send my dear dream face up to me. Then I see him again with delight, the star of my life that has faded from me. And I may press him to my longing breast, and my heart dreams, he loved me.
His hand so warm, his lips so blissful, and he speaks it to me, the enchanting word. His forehead so clear, his eyes so sunny. Through all heavens he carries me away.
Wedding at Giardino Verde - Zurich
May he whom a favorable destiny created feast on titles and outward honour. I, who feels far away from such a profession, have benefited from having a different kind of happiness. Basked in favor, the courtier grows fat and opens up like a marigold. A capricious accident ends its time, an angry look meets its glory.
The victor never defeated, who at last found his victor, is etched from the plaque of glory, and a thousand victories have vanished. What other happiness: I am dear and loved, happiness that cannot be changed!
